Care Assistant (Nightshift) Care and Support -Haddington Care Home Contract: Full Time Salary: £12.10 Per HourShift Type: Nightshift Contracted hours: 22-44 Nestled among thebeauty of Haddington in East Lothian, our care home providesbespoke care and exceptional living standards. With 68-residents,we offer around-round-the-clock specialised services encompassingResidential, Nursing, Dementia, Respite and Palliative care forolder individuals. At our home, you’ll be a key person responsiblein helping us achieve an excellent standard of care to ourresidents – You’ll be an integral part of our care team to promotethe values and ethos of our home. As a Care Assistant, you’ll playa vital role in our close-knit care team, ensuring our residentsreceive exceptional care and support. You’ll help them with theirdaily routines, promote independence, and ensure their overallhealth and happiness are prioritized every day. What You’ll Do -Empower Independence: Assist residents with their daily routines,from getting dressed to staying active, while encouraging them tomake positive choices and remain as independent as possible. -Personalized Care: Follow and support each resident’s personalizedcare plan, providing hands-on help and thoughtful attention totheir individual needs. – Health and Wellbeing: Keep a close eye onresidents’ health, communicating any concerns to the Nurse orClinical Deputy Manager, and helping with calls to relatives orhealthcare professionals. – Champion Dignity: Uphold the dignityand respect of each resident, ensuring they feel valued and caredfor in every interaction. – Social Support: Encourage socialinteractions among residents and with staff, creating a warm andwelcoming environment. – Safety and Comfort: Work with housekeepersto maintain clean, safe, and comfortable living spaces, and respondquickly to emergencies or call bells. – Nutritional Support: Assistresidents who need extra help with eating and drinking, ensuringtheir nutritional needs are met. – Spread Smiles: Above all, bringjoy to our residents’ lives and make them smile every day. AboutYou – Qualifications: SVQ/NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Careis preferred. – Experience: Ideally, you have at least 6 months ofexperience as a Care Assistant, but we welcome those with a passionfor care and transferable skills. – Passion: You’re genuinelyinterested in caring for the elderly and committed to deliveringexcellent service. – Values: You bring integrity, respect, and astrong sense of teamwork to everything you do.
