The Opportunity
The business has grown significantly since its establishment and reported strong year on year growth, with a number of international projects and customers now on board. The business is at a very exciting stage in its growth and is seeking to significantly scale operations and expansion, and is now seeking to appoint a dynamic, experienced Sales leader, into the newly created role of Sales Director.
In this strategic role, you will work closely with our senior leadership team to develop business strategies, build and mentor a high-performing sales team, and expand our client base. As the Sales Director, you will lead initiatives to increase overall revenue by 50% over 2025/2026 and grow Ground Screws product sales by 25% annually. Your creativity, leadership, and enthusiasm will be critical in positioning RADIX as a leader in our field, both in the UK and internationally.
Key Responsibilities
You will assume ultimate accountability for the delivery of the sales strategy for the business and work collaboratively with key stakeholders to define and create this.
Key responsibilities will include;
- The development and implementation of a comprehensive sales strategy to identify and pursue new growth opportunities.
- Revenue growth and expansion of the customer base, particularly in the renewable energy sector.
- Leadership and mentoring of a sales team, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to launch targeted sales campaigns.
- Horizon scanning and market research to stay informed about industry trends and competitor activities.
- Representation of RADIX at industry events to build valuable connections.
Candidate Requirements
We are looking for an experienced, ambitious and results-driven leader with a proven track record in business development, sales, and senior management in a relevant business sector (this could include selling alternative products into our customer base).
The successful candidate will have most of the following:
- Proven experience of revenue growth and customer acquisition in an international engineering business.
- Evidence of building high performing sales teams and a passion for people development.
- It would be advantageous to have experience of selling into relevant customer markets e.g. construction, engineering, renewables and energy markets.
- A positive attitude and excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in CRM systems and strong analytical skills for data-driven decision-making.
- A passion for sales, and the ability to identify high-value contracts and close deals.
- Strong organizational and planning abilities, along with a commitment to exceptional customer service.
